After struggling to put together a quality Fashion portfolio in the usual way - by recruiting non-professionals, and expecting fabulous results, which of course is not possible - I realized that I was going to have to assemble a Creative Team and utilize professional agency models. This approach, while it is the correct one, is also time-consuming and contains some elements of hit-or-miss until your team is the right team, and until you know how to find, direct, and work with models. Still the rather lengthy learning curve, not to mention the expense!

We decided to create the perfect environment with the perfect models in the perfect clothes styled by the perfect stylists for our aspiring fellow Fashion photographers, and spare them the time and expense of trying to get it right. And so, PORTFOLIO In-A-Day was born! We now host the workshop and shoot in several cities, and will be taking it to even more locations in the future. 

I *GRATEFULLY* acknowledge Roy Cox of Roy Cox Photography for being my original inspiration (when all I meant to do was get an interview!) Roy is an amazing Fashion Photographer who went from a $50 pawn shop Nikon to tons of high-end clients and editorials in just a few years, with a unique lighting style and an edgy look.

I also *GRATEFULLY* acknowledge Fashion Master himself, Claudio Basso, who generously shares his 30 years of high-end business (Italian Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and much more) with his eager students in his unique Reality Training TM workshops. His wife and assistant Sheri is the best, we can't say enough wonderful things about her either.

Finally, I *GRATEFULLY* acknowledge my friend and occasional wedding partner Ron Davis, who generously let me use his studio and pick his brain when I first got started.
